Frodingham Infant School, catering to children aged 3 to 7 years old, faced unique challenges due to its historic building’s thick walls and expansive footprint. With safety and efficiency as priorities, the school needed a system that could facilitate lockdown procedures and improve daily communication across its 150-year-old structure and newly added extension.

We took a hands-on approach to address their unique communication challenges. Our team conducted an in-depth site survey to identify the optimal placement for speakers, ensuring full coverage across the school’s historic structure and newly added extension. We designed a bespoke Tannoy system tailored to the school’s specific needs, prioritizing clear audio quality and reliability.

The installation was carried out during the summer holidays to minimise disruption, with our engineers carefully integrating the system into the school’s infrastructure. Once installed, we rigorously tested the system to guarantee its performance under various scenarios, including lockdown procedures.

To ensure the staff could confidently utilise the new system, we provided comprehensive, face-to-face training sessions, supported by detailed guides and ongoing assistance via phone. This collaborative effort resulted in a seamless implementation and long-term partnership to maintain the system’s performance and adapt to any future needs.
