The Challenge
Before the project, much of the school’s lighting was outdated fluorescent technology — inefficient, costly to maintain, and increasingly difficult to replace as regulations phased out fluorescent tubes.
The lighting across classrooms and corridors was inconsistent, with some areas too dim and others suffering from glare on whiteboards. Combined with rising energy costs, the school recognised an urgent need to modernise, save energy, and improve light quality.
“Some of the lighting just wasn’t fit for purpose anymore. When we saw the potential savings — financially and environmentally — it felt like a no-brainer.”
