Who we are
Trading since 1979, from humble beginnings and previously known as GB Communications, Ninehundred Communications has grown to become one of the UK's largest independent suppliers and installers of high quality two way radio systems, corporate mobile phones, data solutions and vehicle / asset tracking systems.
Through acquisition, investment, the recruitment of people with the right knowledge, skills, experience and the support of our customers, we have adopted new products and services and operate from a purpose designed 12,000 sq ft site in Doncaster. The site includes a modern, fully equipped workshop facility, fitting centre, a mobile phone outlet and a Demonstration Suite for Customers to try out the latest products.
With an office in North Shields and employees located around the country we are a local company providing services across the UK and Ireland.
We have in excess of 85 employees that share a passion to be the best at what we do in delivering high quality products and services at affordable prices.
Our online activities trade internationally with customers placing orders across Europe and countries including Africa and India.

Starting with two way radios back in 1979 we have helped our customers create efficient communications strategies that have played an important part in their day to day activities.
Since then our products and services have expanded as our company has grown alongside our customers and their requirements. Advances within the communications industry and the ever evolving needs of our customers have been responsible for much of this expansion. For example, mobile phones are now highly advanced having become smart business devices that form part of day to day life and activities. Whilst to many, two way radios appear not to have changed over the years, customers have been able to harness and benefit from radio technology that has seen major advances in design and functionality, particularly since the move to digital technology.
The needs of our customers have always played a major part in our growth. Products such as mobile phones, vehicle tracking, vehicle CCTV and monitoring are now becoming widely adopted as must have technology for vehicle fleets. A single installation visit to a customer's premises has helped reduce their costs as they are now able to source multiple in-vehicle technology requirements - through a single supplier.
As specialists in wireless connectivity, other products such as fixed CCTV have evolved as an extension to wireless CCTV systems we already provided to our customers. Initially starting out with CCTV, our Security Division holding SSAIB accreditation can now provide you with Access Control Systems and Intruder Alarms supported by comprehensive installation and maintenance services.
Helping our customers get connected in some of the most remote or cost restrictive locations has seen our Satellite Solutions Division expand from satellite phone provision to include satellite broadband connections with some business must have addons. We can get you connected quickly by utilising and integrating a range of products and services from our other divisions.
Whatever your requirements are of our products and services we can help you with a range of turnkey solutions and with ever changing technology and the abilities of our research, testing and technical team, system integration is becoming a growing part of how we help you by bringing products and services together.

Quality is at the heart of our business
We believe that whilst price is important, delivering to you a quality service is crucial to both your's and our success. We were one of the first in our industry to achieve the coveted BS5750 Quality Management System accreditation. BS5750 was replaced by the internationally recognised ISO9001: 2008 which we have held since it replaced the British Standard.
We have our own Quality Manager, our own workshop and engineering team, installation team, technical support team, customer care team and stringent procedures focussed on delivering the very best in products and services for all of our customers.

As Authorised Dealers for a range of manufacturers, we are able to offer you solutions based on well informed choices. Our Dealer status ensures we are kept up to date with the latest information, technology, products and services enabling a valuable support channel and enhancing the support we provide to customers.
Our customers Account Managers are specialists within their own areas of operations be it the Two Way Radio Division, the Security Solutions Division or any of the others. All have the support of our internal teams.
We are not afraid of being set challenges by our customers and our philosophy has always been to provide a proactive approach with a "Can Do" attitude. Offering you a "face to face" presence and "engineered" packages we ensure all aspects including site coverage can be addressed before proposing a solution. You can be assured that our extensive experience and manufacturer relationships ensure we know our products well.
A flexible approach
Whilst we operate within a range of policies and procedures, we work hard to get to know our customers, to understand their needs and to understand how our products or services will affect their business.
We know that in the real world there has to be the ability to think differently and to do things differently. As a SME (although large within our industry) we have the flexibility to go the extra mile and make our solutions fit the needs of our customers. If we advise something can't be done, you can be assured we will have explored all the options available to us first.
Over the years, our customers have played a major part in what we do and how we do it - we always urge them to tell us if there is something they feel we should or could do or could do better - if we can, we do!
