Full Product Description
The 900IoT Weather Station combines advanced sensing technology, long-range LoRaWAN® connectivity and robust outdoor construction in one easy-to-deploy system.
Comprehensive Weather Monitoring
Measure six key atmospheric conditions using one integrated device: temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, wind direction, barometric pressure and rainfall. Gain a clearer understanding of local weather conditions to support operational awareness and planning.
Built for Challenging Environments
Designed for continuous outdoor operation, the weather station features a robust aluminium alloy sensor housing, with IP65-rated sensors and an IP67-rated hub. Its weather-resistant construction offers protection against water ingress and corrosion in demanding environments.
Solar-Powered Operation
A 15 W solar panel and rechargeable battery backup support autonomous operation, reducing reliance on external power infrastructure. The system can operate for at least seven days without sunlight under the manufacturer’s stated conditions.
Long-Range LoRaWAN® Connectivity
Transmit sensor data wirelessly using LoRaWAN® technology, with a communication range of up to 2 km in urban environments and 15 km in rural, line-of-sight conditions. Compatibility with standard LoRaWAN® gateways and network servers offers flexibility when integrating the system into wider monitoring networks.
Reliable Data Collection
With local storage for more than 19,000 historical records and data retransmission functionality, the system helps maintain data continuity during temporary network interruptions.
Simple Installation and Configuration
Designed for straightforward pole mounting, the system supports quick configuration using NFC via a mobile device or through USB Type-C using PC software. Its integrated design helps simplify deployment across a range of sites.
Supporting Rail Infrastructure Monitoring
Weather conditions can have a significant impact on rail infrastructure and day-to-day railway operations. Access to accurate, site-specific environmental data can help teams better understand changing conditions and support operational decision-making.
With its recent installation in a rail environment, this IoT Weather Station offers a practical approach to collecting local weather data without the need for a conventional mains-powered installation.
Monitoring wind speed, wind direction, rainfall, temperature, humidity and barometric pressure can provide valuable environmental insight for rail applications, supporting wider monitoring systems and helping teams identify changing conditions that may require attention.
When integrated with an appropriate LoRaWAN® network and data platform, weather information can be accessed remotely, helping make site data more accessible to the teams who need it.
The weather station provides environmental monitoring data; any safety-critical decisions or automated railway responses must be supported by appropriate systems, procedures and risk assessments.
