Next Stop: Doncaster – A Successful First Rail Event

We recently hosted rail businesses and suppliers at our new 11,435 sq ft facility. From live demonstrations of our rail solutions to networking with local industry experts, the event highlighted collaboration, innovation, and the future of rail in Doncaster.

On 10 February 2026, we welcomed rail businesses and suppliers from across Doncaster to our newly opened 11,435 sq ft rail-focused facility for Next Stop: Doncaster, a networking event delivered in partnership with Business Doncaster.

The event brought together organisations from rolling stock, infrastructure, engineering, manufacturing, and the wider rail supply chain to connect, share insight, and explore potential collaboration opportunities within the local rail sector.

Showcasing Solutions and Innovation

Attendees had the chance to see our rail solutions in action. Our specialists, Mark Boddy and Ben Ryan, presented a range of technologies, including products approved by Network Rail and holding Certificates of Acceptance. They also highlighted how we work with clients to develop tailored solutions to meet specific operational challenges, from trackside equipment to bespoke monitoring systems.

Attendees were able to see how we work collaboratively with customers to develop tailored, problem-solving solutions, whether through standardised approved equipment or bespoke innovations designed to meet specific operational challenges.

Having our engineering space, warehouse, and offices under one roof provided the ideal environment to demonstrate how ideas move from concept to deployment.

A Strong Start and More to Come

To create a welcoming atmosphere, we were pleased to provide complimentary breakfast catering for attendees, giving businesses the opportunity to network informally before and after presentations. The relaxed setting encouraged open discussion and strengthened new and existing relationships across the sector.

The success of this first event reinforces the importance of bringing Doncaster’s rail community together in a dedicated, industry-focused space. As a business rooted in rail, we are committed to continuing these conversations and supporting collaboration across the local supply chain.

We would like to thank Business Doncaster and everyone who attended for helping make Next Stop: Doncaster such a positive and productive event.

At Ninehundred Communications, we remain proud to invest in Doncaster, support its rail heritage, and play our part in building the next chapter of the town’s rail future.
