Our Community
Working With Communities
The success of our people is the success of our company.
Ninehundred Communications integrates community investment considerations into decision-making and business practices and insists on local capacity building to develop mutually beneficial relationships with communities we and our customers operate in.
Health and wellbeing of employees
We advocate “Mindfulness Mondays” providing fresh fruit to all employees. We actively encourage social interaction with the annual Christmas party, summer get together and celebrate our employees’ most important moments, birthdays, achievements, work anniversaries etc.
During select holidays, we organise enjoyable games and friendly competitions among our staff. These events serve a dual purpose: they strengthen our team's bond and provide an opportunity to raise funds for charity. For instance, in 2022, our Halloween costume contest saw employees showcasing their imaginative outfits to win exciting prizes.
Supporting Local Charities
Ninehundred Communications are supporters and radio suppliers to the Eve Merton Dreams Trust. The Eve Merton Trust was set up in 2011 and is a Doncaster based non-profit organisation that raises money that is then used to help terminally or seriously ill cancer patients to create or fulfil a dream.
Free of charge business services to local events
We take great satisfaction in lending our support to charitable events by offering complimentary communications equipment, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.
Fundraising Events
Our dedicated employees have taken part in various fundraiser events, including:
- 3 Peaks Challenge for The Dementia Society
- Pretty Muddy for Cancer Research UK
- Teams Bones 100km Dog Walk for Bone Cancer Research Trust
- Poppy Appeal for the Royal British Legion
All year long, our dedicated staff showcases their generosity through contributions of food and personal essentials. These items are thoughtfully delivered to local food banks and homeless shelters. On holidays, we seize the opportunity to offer gifts to those in need, such as collecting Easter eggs.
Along with this, we also provide one-off donations as and when we are approached, or a team member makes a request. Bake sales and other holidays also offer an opportunity for us to raise money for various charities along with engaging our employees. Fridays in our office is a designated “dress down day” with money raised going to charities chosen by employees.
